What started as an interest in how things look slowly became an interest in how they feel. The way a brand speaks. The way something lands. The difference between something you scroll past, and something that actually stays with you.
Polka Dot Teapot Studio is a space for branding, storytelling, marketing and design that feels intentional. Not rushed. Not overworked. Not chasing trends that disappear in six months.
Just thoughtful work, the kind that connects with the right people and feels like it actually means something.
I’m not interested in loud marketing or quick wins. I care about building something that actually reflects you, creating work that feels aligned to your business, not forced. Focusing on clarity, consistency, and meaning over noise and "quick wins"
Because when something is done well, when it genuinely fits, it doesn’t need to shout to be noticed.
I’m Laura, a multi-channel marketing apprentice turned freelance creative, with a background in social media, email marketing, website content and SEO.
But Polka Dot Teapot didn’t start with marketing. I’ve been creating in different forms for over a decade, starting with handmade jewellery back in 2013, then moving into watercolour artwork, and later into digital and metaphysical designs for other small businesses, and Polka Dot Teapot has been with me all of the way.
What started as a hobby slowly turned into something more, Polka Dot Teapot has evolved a lot over the years, but at the centre of it has always been the same thing: creating something that feels considered, meaningful, and a little bit special.
In 2024, I took a step back from my own business to focus on a multi-channel marketing apprenticeship, building a stronger foundation in strategy, analytics, and the technical side of marketing.
A mix of hands-on creative experience and marketing knowledge is what shapes how I work now. I’ve worked across everything from campaign planning and content creation to analytics and optimisation, but I’ve always been drawn to the bigger picture of brand identity, how everything fits together, and how a brand is experienced, not just seen.
Alongside that, I’ve built my own projects from the ground up, from branding and websites to email setup and all the behind-the-scenes details that make everything actually work. A lot of my ideas start the same way as my garden - a bit chaotic at first, but they usually come together perfectly.
You’ll usually find me in the garden, growing things (sometimes successfully), reading with snacks, or walking my Romanian rescue dog, Aries. (my best pest!)
A lot of my work is shaped by that slower pace, noticing what works, what doesn’t, and what actually feels right. I’ve always been more drawn to quiet, thoughtful things, choosing peace and personality over noise and gimmicks.
